Boscia Luminizing Black Mask | Review + Demo

Sooo I know in my previous post I said I was considering a makeup no-buy for the rest of the month and I mean, this isn’t makeup so it doesn’t count, right?

Cut me some slack here!

So I’ve been seeing YouTubers on snapchat always doing face masks and it really got me so intrigued that I was like, I wanna get in on this face mask train! So I did. I bought my first higher-end face mask!

I purchased the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask from Sephora on a whim and I’m really glad I did (as you can see in the gif above).

This mask is a peel off mask that helps detoxify, purify, and brighten your skin! It’s said to help minimize pores, draw out oils, and help your skin be less oily over time.

This mask has a thick, wet, clay type consistency. I started to apply it to my face and I immidiately felt a tingling sensation on my skin, I could feel it working right away! I don’t have extremely sensitive skin, but if you did I think some people might not like the tingling sensation, but I didn’t mind it at all.

This mask needs to be applied quickly and it needs to be applied with a thick hand. It dries pretty fast if you don’t put enough on so you will want to use a heavy hand. Now, I decided to put it all over my face and I don’t think I would do it again because I feel like you would have to use the whole tube to completely cover your face.

So yeah, my face definitely didn’t turn out like the Boscia example photo, haha. It kinda reminds me of catwoman or something, haha. So in interest of saving product and money, I will only be applying this on my nose and chin (my most pore-showing skin).

Now for the exciting part, peeling it off! It took about 15-20 minutes to dry and then I went to work on my face! The places where I had applied the mask thick peeled right off. It felt so good, haha. But the places where it was thin took a little more work and I eventually had to wash my face to get the rest off.

Ooooh so satisfying

Once I washed my face, my skin felt SO SMOOTH. Oh my goodness my skin was so nice and bright.

Now, I’m putting a disclaimer here cause the next two images my gross you out. I decided to take pictures of the mask that I peeled off and you could see the gunk and blackheads that it pulled out of my pores!

It was so satisfying to know that this mask actually works! My pores on my nose did visibly look smaller so I’m definitely a fan of this mask! This mask retails for $34 and I think I will use it 2-3 a week. If you have blackhead-prone, oily skin I think you should definitely give this mask a try!
