New Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation | Review + Demo

After my last foundation review, I was nervous about trying a new one.

You could say I was pretty much scarred from my experience, almost like a broken heart. I needed some time to heal before I attempted to try another new foundation. Then, an unexepected opportunity came in the mail and I am now whole again. Meet my new favorite foundation:

Maybelline’s New Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation*

This foundation claims to mattify and blur pores. It’s for normal to oily complexions, helps with skin texture, and comes in 40 shades. It doesn’t clog pores and is oil-free! (Perfect since I have the oily skin)

I received the Shade 220 Natural Beige, which I felt at first might be too light for me so in the following photos you can tell I overcompensated on the bronzer.

When I first put the foundation on the back of my hand, it was a little runny–but it didn’t feel extremely thick. I did apply primers before using this and I applied the foundation with a damp beauty blender. I also applied a setting powder after I finished my makeup (always have, always will).

On the left in the above photo, I have no makeup on. On the right is after the application of foundation.

My first thought after applying it was, “WOW. This looks really natural!” It also felt really nice on my skin. I felt like it looked like second skin on me. There was no settling into my pores and I felt like the foundation gave the impression of a very smooth texture. I was very impressed.

This photo is using the front camera of my phone. I love how this foundation looks like my natural skin!

I had to work this day so I finished off the rest of my makeup.

I would say this foundation is light-to-medium coverage. It didn’t leave me like, dull-matte looking, it provided enough “matte-ness” without making it look cakey. Once again, this is such a natural looking foundation, I love it!

Here’s my photos at work:

I’ve been on the highlight train haha, can you tell? But this was around 12-ish (above)

This was around 2. P.S. I don’t know why I look drunk, but to be fair I was/am recovering from a cold.

Above was around 3, it was lunch time so don’t judge the Tabasco sauce in the picture, haha. Girls’ gotta have her hot sauce! And I held it in the picture cause if I put it down and I’m not paying attention to it, it’ll get snatched up by someone else! #yougottafight #foryourright #tohavehotsauce

And finally this was around 5-6pm

This foundation held up allll day! No touch ups needed! I will say that I had a tiny, tiny glow, but it wasn’t like, “damn, girl you oily,” it was more like I had a healthy complexion. I even got two compliments from two women customers saying they loved how natural my makeup was! #yas #winning

If you have somewhat oily-to oily skin, I definitely suggest you try this foundation! It is so natural looking, doesn’t leave a heavy texture, it’s long-lasting, and I feel like it improves your overall skin. I am SO glad I received this cause after the last hot-mess foundation I tried, I was super skeptical on trying this one. I am loving this drugstore foundation and I think it’s very similar to the Urban Decay Naked Skin, so if you like that foundation try this one as an alternative!! I definitely will purchase this once I run out!

Let me know your thoughts! Have you tried this?? Can you tell me if the foundation shade I am wearing is too light? Thanks!

As always, thanks for reading! Be sure to like, follow, and comment if you enjoyed!!
