New Covergirl Plumpify Mascara | Review + Demo

My first post of the new year had to be a new mascara review!

As most of you know, mascara and I go together hand-in-hand. The peanut butter to my jelly, the mac to my cheese, and in the words of Forrest Gump, the peas to ma carrots. I don’t think I could go two weeks without buying a new mascara.

So I went to CVS earlier this week with the sole intention of finding this mascara. I saw it in an ad in my January Cosmopolitan magazine and I was like, I HAVE to have this mascara! When I initially walked into CVS, I went straight to the Covergirl section and didn’t see it; I was so bummed. But, then a few aisles over (kind of not in the beauty section) I saw a display of the Plumpify mascaras and there was only like, three of them in the display (I’m assuming someone was putting it together) and I snatched one of these puppies so fast that I probably chipped my nailpolish.

Behold! The new Covergirl Plumpify Mascara!

This mascara says it plumpifies your lashes with 50x volume boost for full lashes–with no clumping!

When I read that statement I was like, “Plumping with no clumping? Sign me up!”

The coolest thing about this mascara is the wand. The spiral bristles start at the center of the wand and then wrap their way around to the top where a spiky ball is located to help you get those pesky, hard-to-reach lashes!

Me with no makeup, nothing new!
This mascara was love at first coat! It was a drier mascara (which I prefer) and it dried relatively quickly and made my lashes stick straight up and they were NO clumps and my lashes looked long and fanned out!

So, per usual, I had work this day and so I decided to work on my face before I put on the second coat. With the second coat, came the voluminization (I made that word up) and my lashes looked more fluttery and darker.

I now realize I need a nostril reduction -__-
Last coat!

I don’t even think I need to say anything about the third coat, cause it speaks for itself! I LOVE how my lashes turned out, they are long and fluttery, thick and dark, and look so separated! #winning

I usually take you guys to work with me so you guys can see how the mascara performed. The above pictures were taken at around 7:30 am

This above picture was taken around 11 am (sorry it’s such bad lighting, I literally have to hide behind corners to take pictures of myself)

And finally when I got home:

Final thoughts: GO GET THIS MASCARA! You won’t regret it! I absolutely love the drier formula and really does make my lashes longer and thicker and prettier all around. A tip I have is to rotate the brush upwards as you sweep it on your lashes; this will really get those vortex looking bristles to help coat and lengthen every lash possible. So switch back and forth from doing zig-zag motions and then an upwards rotation on your wand! And an we talk about no-flakes for a second? Like, wow. I was so surprised when I saw that I didn’t have any flakes, I worked an 8 hour day and my mascara still held up. #needisaymore #amazing

P.S. This mascara retails for $10.49 in CA

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you guys try out this mascara and let me know your thoughts! Be sure to like, comment, and follow if you enjoyed!

I was trying to make like, a “cool” way of showing my lashes and the mascara. Yeah, it didn’t work.
