It is finally my favorite season: fall! Time for cooler weather, warm sweaters, and hot apple cider. Oh wait, just kidding. I live in Southern California. It’s pretty much summer time from End of May to mid-October, so if someone could call the state of California up and tell it to get with the fall program, that would be much appreciated.
The look I created is inspired by Essie nailpolish in Leggy Legend. I LOVE this color, it screams pumpkin spice lattes and leggings with boots.
I was so committed to this look that I even wore a thick wine colored sweater to make myself in the mood for fall. Too bad the high was 102 degrees that day and I was dripping with sweat by the time I finished taking pictures but #doitfortheblog.
These are the eyeshadow colors I used to create this warm fall look. All of these are from the Morphe 35W Warm Palette, with the exception of the dark brown (which looks black in the picture), that is the shade Backdoor from my Urban Decay Smoked Palette.
The darker orange shade went all over my lid, and then I took the golden orange shade and just placed it in the center of my lid to give it more dimension. I then used the warm terra-cotta color and blended it into the outer half of my eye bringing it slightly into the center. I then used Backdoor (the darker brown almost black-looking shade) and placed it in my outer-V and blended till my arms fell off.
For my bottom eyeliner, I used the darker orange shadow and combined it with Backdoor. I was going for more of an everyday look, so I decided to not add more and smoke it out, but I think that would be great for date-night look. I also did a classic winged liner.
On my lips, I used Maybelline’s Nude Nuance lipstick, but then I wanted to deepen it up a bit so I used NYX lipliner in brown on top.
And that is the completed look!
I didn’t smile too much in these pictures cause I was feeling extra broody and moody with my maroon sweater and fall makeup (and because I was literally melting and not happy with the weather!) I kept pretending I was a character from One Tree Hill and that I had so much drama in my life. #Peyton
I think my next makeup look will be an olive-green look! I’ve been seeing the color everywhere and it’s perfect for fall, what do you guys think?
